Your pre-wedding dentistry consultation
When you meet with an experienced dental team, we will discuss with you what you are hoping to achieve, and we will explain the available services and what would suit you and your time frame.
Depending on your teeth and the time you have, services may range from simple such as stain removal, to more complex restorative work, such as dental implants to replace missing teeth and to straighten crooked teeth. Our lead dentist, Dr Teresa, also offers facial aesthetic treatments in the clinic, such as natural-wrinkle reduction, dermal fillers and Profhilo.
Wedding Dentistry Guide
As a broad guide, we recommend that you work to the following timescales for pre-wedding dental treatment.
Teeth whitening is a great way to instantly brighten your smile in preparation for your big day. Here at Appledore Dental & Implant Centre in Milton Keynes we recommend Zoom advanced power teeth whitening which is an in-clinic procedure. Alternatively, you may wish to whiten your teeth at home with our home treatment kits, which can be used right up to the big day.
This is also a good time to do some pre-wedding dental treatment such replacing silver amalgam fillings with white fillings and repair chipped or damaged teeth with dental composites.
A final deep clean and teeth stain removal with your dental hygienist will ensure that your mouth looks and feels beautiful.
Please note that some treatments may take more or less time depending on how complex they are. Dentistry is a very individual and personal process, so always start the conversation early with your dentist in case you need longer.

Annabel’s Story
Annabel is one of our Wedding Day Makeover successes here at Appledore Dental & Implant Centre in Milton Keynes.
When Annabel first came to see us, it was obvious that she felt very self-conscious about her appearance – although you never imagine it looking at how radiant she looks on her wedding day!
She explained that she was due to get married in just under two year’s time and longed to have a complete smile makeover. After years of feeling insecure about her teeth, Annabel knew that she wanted to take action and the good news was – we could help her achieve her dream.
After an assessment with Dr Teresa, it was clear that this dental makeover was going to be fairly complex, but over a course of 18 months, a full transformation could be achieved.
